Shake It Up

Want to launch a new family tradition that'll shake up your New Year - literally? Have a go at this …

Ice CreamJust before toast time, blend a tub of ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or any other flavour you desire) with whatever your kids dream up (and of course, you approve). You may try frozen and fresh fruits, milk, juices, and yoghurt.

Top off this yummy shake with toppings such as whipped cream, marshmallows, cherries, nuts and chocolate chips. For the final touches, prepare a cool straw, long spoon or swizzle stick.

Have everyone participate in the toast, each declaring a new year wish or blessing for another family member. The toasts don't go in any particular order, just loudest to quietest, or vice versa, whichever you prefer.
