Welcome Wreaths

For many families throughout the world, the festival won't be complete without a holly wreath hung on the door as a sign of welcome and good fortune. Here in Singapore, wreaths are used more for decorative purposes. Still, nothing says X'mas like a welcome wreath on your front door.

WreathWreaths are readily available in departmental stores and even your neighbourhood NTUC outlets. If you don't intend to draw on your pocket for X'mas décor, just pick up any green paper of substantial grammage, cut a strip and bend into a circle, string some red ribbons through it, attach some unused tree ornaments, and Viola! Your very own welcome wreath! Pick any colour combination you desire, one that says "Joy To The World" to you.

And did we say front door? No, no, NO. You're not limited to just that. Buy or hand-make several wreaths and distribute them throughout your home - on the doors, walls, and even cabinets. That's the way to sprinkle some magic X'mas dust in your home.
